MGH/McLean Residency Training Program in Psychiatry
Overview
McLean Hospital and the General Hospital are the founding partners of The Massachusetts General Hospital, the oldest voluntary, nonprofit hospital in New England and the third oldest in the United States. It is the first and largest teaching hospital affiliated with the Harvard Medical School.
As the hospital's founders stated in 1811, The MGH has three primary objectives: caring for the sick, teaching those who are responsible for that care and researching the causes and control of disease.
Over one hundred and eighty years later, This mission remains unwavering and its pursuit vigorous.

Where to start
Part 1 - Adult Psychiatry Residency
After its founding in 1811, the first mission of the Massachusetts General Hospital was to offer clinical services to the mentally ill.
Part 2 - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency
The Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Training Program has been designed to offer residents a well-balanced clinical experience, a broad range of exposure to normal and abnormal children and families for diagnostic assessment, treatment and prevention of psychopathology, a formal curriculum covering major areas in child and adolescent psychiatry, supervision in outpatient, inpatient, acute residential and partial hospital settings and consultation experiences in the context of a graduated learning experience throughout the two training years.

APS evaluation procedure
